American Saddlebred for sale
One of the most popular breed of horses is the American Saddlebred. You can see them very often in Saddle Seat Style Riding Events.
The American Saddlebred is also or otherwise known as the American Saddle Horse. It was developed by plantation owners in Kentucky. The origin of this is from a breed known as Narragansett Pacer. This original breed no longer exists in the United States.
This horse variety comes in many different colors, of which common ones are black, brown, chestnut and bay. Other colors include roan, grey, pinto and palomino, however these are rare colors. A typical characteristic of this breed is its long arched neck, wide-set beautiful eyes and well-shaped ears. It also has prominent withers and a deep sloping shoulder. The average height of this breed is 15 to 16 hands.
What is exceptional about the American Saddlebred is that it is five-gaited. It can be easily thought and it can quite naturally learn the slow-gait (also known as the stepping pace), and the rack, something which is difficult for other horse breeds to do.
Many people, who train and use horses, prefer the American Saddlebred for its intelligence. They are very manageable and can be easily trained for professional horse events and shows such as parades, trail riding, hunter/jumper, dressage, and western riding. Furthermore, training them takes little time. Owners of this breed will find them to be sensitive as well as very alert to everything that is around them.
The American Saddlebred, a naturally gaited breed is a real pleasure to ride and quite stable in temperament. It is also a breed with a good level of stamina and so can excel in tasks assigned to them. It is not just popular in the United States, but also across the world in countries lime Australia, Holland, South Africa and Japan.
