The German Bred horses are mainly hot blooded horses and most of them are registered with the stud books. There are several of them which are considered premium studs like the Holsteiner, the Oldenburg, and the Hanoverian. All of them can be classified as thorough German Bred. Germany also ahs some of the best competition horses and world champion records in horse breeding. The horses were mainly bred for carrying carriages and basic agriculture in the early 20th century. However today the horses are bred with the main purpose of competitions and dressage.
