The breed was developed by discerningly mating some of the well known Hungarian breeds like the Kisbér Félvér, Gidrán, Furioso-North Star, and Nonius. This is how the Hungarian warmblood breed was established. Some varieties of this Hungarian Warmblood are the Holsteiner, Hannoverian and Dutch Warmblood. The breeding led to the creation of an equestrian variety which was good in all kinds of sports and activities, making it much acclaimed, worldwide.
