Horses have specific characteristics based on their bloodlines and the history of origin. It is this aspect of a hose that gives it distinct features such as an unusual gait or unique physical characteristics for which it becomes much valued. People buy horses based on such features in order to get a breed that most suits their specific requirements, which may be for horse events, competition, endurance work and so on. One of most distinct European horse breeds is the Kabarda.
This type of horse breed was mainly formed with the crossing of many breeds like Turkemenian, Persian, Karabakh and so on. North Caucasian is the native of this breed. However this is mainly associated in the locations of Stavropool territory and also in Kabardino-Balkar Autonomous Republic.
They live in different planes during the year depending on the seasons. Normally, they stay in taboons. However they are placed in mountainous regions during summer and in foothills during winter. The Kabarda breed serves well in stony terrains and mountains. They are able to carry loads and people easily over such regions.
Kabarda has a well-built body. It has good stamina and pace. Basically it is a saddle one. These horses do not appear very large. Normally it is 145 to 152 cms in height. It has clean head, long ears, medium and good muscled neck. It has less to medium body hair. However the tail may have medium to thick hair covering it. It can have mostly bay brown skin and also have cherry bay.
In order to increase the efficiency of the Kabarda breed, a new breed was formed in parts of Russia ( to be precise Northern region of Caucasus ) by crossing Thoroughbred and kabarda. This breed is called the Anglo-kabarda breed. The Anglo-kabardas are known for its great speed and energy.
