As the name suggests the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse is a breed of horse from the Kentucky region of United States of America. It is a medium sized horse and gaited breed that can be easily saddled. The parentage of this horse is unknown however currently there are tests being done to determine the parentage of these horses. They are used a lot by the riding clubs and they make ideal partners for young children and have a sweet temperament. The Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse is distinguished by its unique gait called the able or the rack which is four legged gait. They have good muscles and also display good athletic skills.
