They can grow to a height of about 15 to 15.2 hands. This horse was much valued for durability and energy. They will show expected performance levels in the work for which they are used.
In Sweden the North Swedish Horse is sued a lot in farming and forestry. Cross breeding of this horses with the Dole breed has create a bred that is used as harness racing, a Scandinavian sport.
