Thoroughbred Horses are worlds most sought after horses as they are excellent when it comes to racing and other competition sports. Due to this money spinning activities a large number of them are bred through out the world and as such a lot of crossing of different varieties of thoroughbreds are made with other classic breeds. The main purpose is to bring out the best from the four feet of the horses on the racing track. For this alone no cost is spared nor is any energy wasted by the elite and the famous and the rich. Due to the ever increasing demands for these breed a lot of crossing is done resulting in the Thoroughbred Cross Horse. As these may be of lesser or equal to that of the original Thoroughbred, it is bit difficult to put them under one single appendix or register for registration purpose. For this reason, the American Appendix Horse Association register was formed for registering a Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred Cross Horse.
This was a great boon to the owners of these breeds of horses as they would be then eligible to field these breeds of horses for racing and other sports events. Again, the American Appendix Horse Association or AAHA, in short, made a little flexible in their stipulations and conditions when a horse went for registering. Color was not the prerequisite for registering under the AAHA unlike most other registers and even horse born under one or combination of this breed was allowed to be registered. Horses that are X coded too are allowed and those having vague markings and tattoos are also registered. For the purpose of events such as barrel racing, trail riding, hunting, jumping, dressage, cutting, ranch work or horse racing Thoroughbred Cross horses of all kinds were allowed to register and performance card handed out for guaranteeing their place in sorts arena.
