The warm bloods were mainly created when the English warriors returned to Europe after fighting war in the Middle East and Africa. This is when the warm bloods were bred in large. The heavy northern Europe horses were combined with the light, fast and fiery Mongolian horses to create warm bloods that were quick and agile and also with a mild temperament. These horse could be used for racing, and even dressage. Today there are some dozens of warm blood breeds in existence because they were eventually crossed with many fine quality imports of horses in different places.
The ideal qualities and looks that are found in the warm blood are they have a small head and body of that like a draft horse and a cool temperament. They cannot be excited easily like the hot blooded horses and that is why they are probably called the warm blood where you get the best of both the worlds. They are useful for riding, working and horse shows. The typical hot blooded horses are the Arabian horses and were typically used in the battle grounds for their fiery temper. The warm blooded horses are popular in the Olympics and competitions.
