The Western Sudan Pony came from Sudan of Africa in the western regions. It is small sized draft horse and that is why it is called a pony. The full grown horse will be a size of the pony. It ahs a large strong head and looks like a modern breed. The Western Sudan Pony could be a result of crossing the African Barb and the local wild horse. This could have been highly possible as the need for transport in Sudan increased. People and tribes started depending on horses as their medium of transport.
